There’s a great story out of Oklahoma City this morning.  It’s about an OKC city councilman who attended a presentation by bicycling advocates and decided to go out and buy a bike so that he could ride to work.

Turns out that second term councilman David Greenwell likes cycling…so much so, in fact, that he wants bicycle corridors to criss cross Oklahoma City and make it easier for other people to join him on his daily rides.  This is a win all the way around.

David Greenwell’s experience points out how the seemingly small act of getting somebody on a bicycle can change communities and, eventually, the greater world.   No act of encouragement is too small.  Keep fighting the good fight, Bike Fivers.  The more people you get to try moving around by bicycle, the easier it is for all of us!
